DIVISION 1

Tropics 0 Soho Spartans 1

A very even first half saw both chances have plenty of possession on the big TKO pitch. We hit the post and Spartans hit the bar but it remained goalless at half time.

Second half we pressed and overall I think we were on top but we didn’t make it count and once again were undone by a sucker punch in the dying minutes. Story of our season so far. Well done SoHo’s

Ref: 2/5 thought he was ok first half but lost it second half. Both teams confused at his decisions and linesman not helping out. Actually felt sorry for the old guy at the end…

Fair play Soho. Smash n grab

In what was an apparent “smash and grab” fixture saw the better team win on a competitive night in TKO.

Sohos dominated the 1st half with the better of the chances, hitting the bar and enjoyed most of the possession with little to worry about at the back.

Tropics came back into it in the 2nd half and looked the more likely to score for a long spell. Soho came good with the winner on the night as a result of a very well worked team move when Tropics switched off at the back.

Credit to the majority of the Tropics lads who were good craic to play with in what is always a physical battle against them. Somewhat marred by a minority of their players constantly screaming at the refs throughout the game, lucky to keep 11 men on the park towards the end after the female lineswoman had to flag the ref over for being called a “******” by one of their frustrated lads.

Look forward to the return leg and another competitive game hopefully played in better spirits.

Refs: 2/5 is fair, some strange decisions going both ways and no explanations from the ref with limited English, but didn’t affect the outcome of the game at all

Cors 2-3 Goodfellas

Joey Richardson, Nick Wilson

A good game played in good spirits. Fellas took the lead from a mistake from our gk before we equalised just before half-time with a header from a cross.

Fellas broke from a corner to go 2-1 up after another error and we equalised shortly after with a good move. I thought we had the momentum at this point but they got the winner with about ten minutes left with a good finish from arguably an offside position.

Overall, I felt we created the better chances with the cross bar being hit and their keeper making some good saves. Fellas were very good in possession and did well to capitalise on our mistakes.

Ref 3/5 overall fine but not the best from the linesman

Fellas scorer Jack Tian x 3

CORs will be disappointed to have come away with nothing but we battled hard for the points.

Our keeper did pull off a miraculous save at 2-2 which ended up being a key moment as we went up the other end to score the winner immediately afterwards. Last 5 was all hands to the pump but we held on for the win.

Ref 3/5, ok but needs to know when to play the advantage

Stray Dogs 0:1 KCC Cavaliers

Match started with both teams trying to find a rhythm to the game. First half ended with 0-0 having good chances at both ends. KCC Cavs broke through in the second half and scored the only goal poached from a long shot effort. Stray Dogs could’ve equalised afterwards with efforts of our own but could not find the net.

Relatively tidy game throughout. Thx KCC Cavs for hosting us and good luck to the rest of the season.

Ref: 3/5 - made some questionable calls and for some reason doesn’t know what a foul throw is

High intensity football followed with cold weather on a Monday night and with patches of rain made it a tough physical game for us. First half the game was quite balanced as both teams couldn’t penetrate through the defence and long shots were not a major threat. We did hit the post twice though on what would have been a proper screamer. Second half we gambled and put more bodies forward in search of a goal. We finally got the game’s first goal and the only one as we saw through the rest of the game and got a rare clean sheet. Some late challenges from both team but the mood of the game had good sportsmanship from both sides and referees did a decent game in controlling the game.

Good luck to Stray Dogs for your season and we look forward to play a good game with you again

Ref: 5/5 - linesmen did a good job too

DIVISON 2

Revolution- Samp HK 3-4

Vastola, Sekou, Sissoko, Morlotti

Very tough game, in a small pitch the game got physical, a lot of fouls and a lot of complaints with the referees from both teams but in the end the better team won.

Ref. 4/5

Revo scorers Liam Saville, Mathew Leatherbarrow and Simon Liu. We suffered with a small squad, concussed player, first goalkeeper with pulled hamstring, then second goalkeeper with dislocated finger. Ref totally lost control of the game today - their CB number 15 elbowing our forwards on several occasions when through on goal, either no freekick or cards. And then as the same player leaves the field he has a free shot with the elbow on our striker in front of the ref - did nothing.

Great game from both teams

Refs 3/5

Will start by saying a fair result, reflecting our tied position in the table...

A poor start for LH as their rw beat his man and shot across our gk into the far corner after 3 pmins... we then came back when a long cross was headed goalward, not cleared and was poked in from close range...we broke the offside trap with a long bouncing ball, our guy got to it first and flicked it over ths oppo gk who brought him down, the ball was cleared off the line but the ref brought it back for the foul.7..in typical HK fudge style it was given outside the area, but justice was done when the fk got through the wall leaving their gk wrongfooted...

2nd half, they pressed more, had several chances but equalized with a great shot from nothing about 15 mins from time...both teams came close, with our best chance a good cross but overhit...

I thought played in much better spirit than in the past, possibly due to both teams having a lot of French speaking players who knew each other...

thought the officials were good, 4  /5...

cheers for the game, Samurai

Ref - 3/5

A great day for OSM, with a strong performance giving us our biggest-ever win.  We started on the front foot and after 2-3 mins of pressure up top allowed Murphy Chan some space on the edge of the box, he took a touch and - via a deflection - his shot left the keeper with no chance.  The next 15mins were quite tight, with The Shooters getting on the ball and probing without much threat, but we moved faster on the attack.  We then had a succession of set pieces that took the scoreline away from The Shooters.  Firstly, the ball fell to the dead ball line after a corner and Kieran Karolak reacted quickest to loop a cross over onto Chan's head to deftly get his second of the match.  Before halftime, two similarly powerful headers from James Chambers following Josh Carubia free kicks put us 4-0 up.

In the second half, we maintained the pressure and Chambers notched his hattrick when, after a low cross from the right, he turned sharply in the box and shot past the keeper at the near post.  Chan came back on and got his hattrick too, when some nice passing down the right put Carubia away before sliding back to Chan; he cut inside and finished well across the goal with the outside of the boot.  Late on, a penalty was awarded for handball (was tough for me to see from back in defence) and George Flitton put it away.

Thanks for the game guys, always played in a great spirit and see you later in the season.

Ref: 3/5 - some standard decisions for flimsy 'fouls' and was a bit whistle-happy when advantage could have been played a couple of times.  But, overall fine.

KCC Royals 1-5 San Ps.

KCC scorer Jan Weinhert

Ref 5/5 no issues and a deserved win for San Ps.

……Award winning and well respected KCC manager Dave Christmas finally admits that KCC are in a relegation dogfight.

In the begining an equal  match. After the first 30 minutes DF showed who was the best organized team.

We had some gross errors in and near goal, but it doesn't change the fact that DF clearly deserved the win anyhow.

Fair and well plaid DF, and  good luck for coming games.

Ref 3/5, no game changing errors, but some obvious ones.

Most interesting game of the season so far, both teams were very organized and the game was played in good spirit.

We managed to have the breakthrough with a well concealed long shot from just outside the box.

Three more goals came in the second half with us being able to play counterattacks with one goal ahead. Vikings were unlucky to score an own goal before the final whistle.

The score line didn't reflect the real skills of Vikings and the game was a much tighter one. Good luck Vikings and looking forward to playing with you guys again.

Ref 3/5, overall kept the game under control. But what we can't comprehend is that the ref told us he ignored obvious offsides because we're three goals ahead...

BOCs 0 - 1 V United:

V United was pumped up before the game, got an early lead and maintained the high intensity and persistence  consistently throughout the game. BOC tried their best to score from long ranges, V united shot stopper thwarted their efforts.

Referee Rating: 3/5

A goal was controversially ruled out by the linesman only after the ball is inside the net. The same linesman raised the flag for a ball when both BOCs last man and the player that was caught offside was bumping into each other side-by-side throughout the run. Lastly, an extremely long stoppage time given by the official stirred up the bench.

V United appreciates the reasonably satisfactory performances of the head referee today but the linesman still has a LOT of rooms for improvement. We believe that it was a fair call for both BOCs and V United.

Newteam started the game and scored a quick goal after a corner 0-1. Comrade pushed and equalized 1-1 but newteam managed to take advantage before the half break 1-2.

Second half comrade started well and managed to score again 2-2, they put a lot of pressure with nice shoots but great saves from our goalkeeper. Again newteam scored again but comrade managed to equalize 3-3 after a nice movement newteam scored the 4th goals. And after a counter attack in the last minutes scored the last goal of the game 3-5.

It was an intense, tough and fair good game comrade ! wish you Best of luck for the rest of the season !

Ref 2/5

Poor performance from the ref, the game was intense but in a good spirit and yellow cards were given too quiclky.

One of our players had received 2 yellows but the ref realized it after few seconds but he was already out and injured on the bench which conclude to be only 10 players for the last 10 mins of the game.

It’s a very nice and intense game, we have learned a lot, the best we have overall, thanks for the good match Newteam. Your team played really well.

DBFC 1 – Godfathers 0

A very even and hard fought battle that only saw half chances for either side and looked like the only break through would be a defensive mistake and DBFC were lucky to get it and hang on for a 1~0 win. Well played Godfathers.

DBFC 3 – KCC Monarchs 1

Well done DB. Hard fought game - a few good chances in the last 10 could have made it even closer. Well-deserved overall and see you next time around.

Agreed a good hard-fought game. 2-0 at half time then we went 3-0 up midway through 2nd half before you staged a comeback in last 10 minutes but too much ground to pull back. Well played KCC an enjoyable game

BTDT 1 Godfathers 3.

Godfathers the better team in the first half, second half a good battle and end to end with good saves, clearances of the line (mostly cleared by us). A fair result overall thanks.

Thanks btdt good game
